Materials Solutions, a supplier of metals additive manufacturing services in nickel super alloys, today announced that it has supplied Rolls-Royce with parts for the Trent XWB engine testing program.
Materials Solutions provides Rolls-Royce with additive manufacturing technology and rig and engine test parts made in nickel super alloys using additive manufacturing technology. This new technology makes parts directly from 3D CAD files without intermediate tooling or moulds enabling Rolls-Royce to accelerate the testing of its engine designs.
In addition to the parts supplied for the Trent XWB, Materials Solutions also supplies rig and engine test parts for Rolls-Royce programs in North America, Germany, and the UK.
